People Motivating Others, Inc.(Our Non-Profit)

PMO People Motivating Others, Inc. is a not for profit, tax exempt - 501c3 charitable organization, established in 2006 by members Pi Mu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Sorority, Inc. PMO was created to support the educational, charitable, cultural and general welfare of economically and socially disadvantaged residents of the community. The organization’s goal is to assist in filling many of the voids in various areas of community need. PMO’s mission is realized by it’s engagement in relevant activities aimed at addressing the needs of the community and includes awarding scholarships that enables qualified students with insufficient resources to advance their education, and bestowing awards and grants to educational and social service groups to benefit the public welfare.

The Gloria Harper-Dickinson Travel Grant Endowment

To all the friends of the late Dr. Gloria Harper-Dickinson, her Travel Endowment that was established in her name has been endowed after a year long campaign to raise over $10,000 to bring the endowment up to $20,000. A presentation was made to Arthur Dickinson Gloria's husband (Omega Psi Phi) at the AKA 79th North Atlantic Regional at the National Harbor Convention Center, MD by the Sorors of Cluster IV in New Jersey. It was a moving moment. Thank you to all who made a donation. We know Gloria is smiling down on us. You can continue to make donations to the Gloria Harper-Dickinson Travel Grant Endowment to AKA-EAF, 5656 South Stony Island, Chicago IL 60637. Pi Mu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. revamped it's electronic newsletter and is now under new management as well as a new site.
